Contact messages

The contact form asks for your name, email address and message so Shane can respond. The site also uses the request IP address transiently for its in-memory rate limit. Form submissions are sent through Resend to the configured contact inbox; Resend processes the message to deliver it. The site does not store form submissions in a database.

To ask about or request removal of a message, email hello@madebyshane.com. A message already delivered may also remain in the recipient’s email mailbox or Resend’s systems under their applicable policies.

Optional analytics

Cloudflare Web Analytics may be used to understand site performance. Its beacon is not loaded unless you select Accept, and it is not active until a site token is configured. Cloudflare describes Web Analytics as collecting performance timing metrics without collecting visitors’ personal data. See Cloudflare Web Analytics information.

Accept enables the optional beacon when configured. Decline keeps it off. No choice means it stays off. Your choice is stored in this browser’s local storage so it can be remembered on later visits. You can revisit the controls here:

External services

Resend is used for contact email delivery. Some case studies can load third-party media from Figma, YouTube or Google Slides only after you activate the relevant embed; following an external link also takes you to that provider. LinkedIn, GitHub, Google Drive and credential links lead to external services with their own privacy practices.

Browser storage and retention

The site does not currently set cookies for analytics or advertising. It uses session storage to remember the theme choice for the current tab session, and local storage to remember your analytics choice. No non-essential analytics runs without an explicit opt-in.

No contact-message retention period has been verified or published. Message retention in the contact inbox and Resend should be confirmed and set by the site owner.
