Reference letter
Shane Anderson – Masters in Service Systems Design
Dear Sir/Madam,
With regards to student Shane Anderson who is currently applying to Aalborg University, Copenhagen, I can confirm the following information.
Shane is currently studying on the BSc (Hons) User Experience Design (UXD) programme here at Edinburgh Napier University. Shane joined Edinburgh Napier University in September 2023 as a Year 2 direct entry full-time student. He is currently an active full-time student enrolled on Year 3 of the UXD programme.
Over his time here at Edinburgh Napier University I have been his Programme Leader and also taught Shane in a number of different modules. He has always participated well in class activities and has developed good team working skills. Many of the assignments on the UXD programme require students to demonstrate a range of skills including analytical reasoning, creativity, originality, criticality and reflective practice. Shane has performed well in all of his modules so far, regularly achieving marks well beyond the class average and has achieved Merits for the majority of the modules taken so far. His Year 2 average was 74.4% with a current Year 3 average of 76.5%.
From experience of teaching Shane I believe he is highly capable of furthering his education with the Master’s degree at Aalborg Unviersity. He is a dedicated student who strives to enhance his skills and knowledge at every opportunity. Shane has always shown a keen interest in developing creative solutions to user problems and in understanding the effects of design on users within user experience.
Should you require any further information please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Yours Sincerely,
Dr Ashley Morton
